Deactivate Facebook Account Permanently
Whether you're worried about your online privacy or just intend to detach from social media, there are 2 ways to get rid of a Facebook account: You can temporarily deactivate your account or pick to completely erase it.
How To Deactivate Facebook Permanently
To Deactivate Your Account: Permanently
Deactivating your account does not completely delete it. When you deactivate your account, Facebook conserves every one of your setups, photos, and info in case you make a decision to reactivate your account. Your information isn't gone-- it's just hidden. However, it is possible to delete your account permanently without any option for recovery.
NOTE: You need to only do this if you are absolutely sure you wish to permanently remove your Facebook account.
To delete your Facebook account, follow this web link to the Delete My Account page. If you want to save images and articles from your account, click Download Info. After that click Delete Account.
To Deactivate Your Account: Temporarily (If you alter your mind).
1. Click the drop-down arrow on the toolbar, then choose Setups.
2. The Settings web page will appear. Click Manage Account.
3. Click Deactivate your account.
4. Select a reason for shutting down the account. If you want, you can include even more details in the text box below. When you're done, click Deactivate.
5. Select Deactivate Currently.
6. Your account is currently shut off. You'll have the choice to reactivate your account at any moment by checking in to Facebook with your old account details.
